1. Staying fit and healthy starts with a balanced diet. Know and monitor the right weight for their age. Ask your doctor about what foods to avoid eating and routines to follow their discipline. If you try to lose weight, foods high in calories may be absent from their food. Foods rich in fiber and low fat content should include a priority on your list instead of red meat, sugars and fats.

2. Drink plenty of water. Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. It cleanses the body of impurities. It is also advised for lactating women to increase intake of water to keep the body hydrated.

3. Take vitamins and supplements. Do not forget your calcium supplement. Adequate calcium is beneficial for women of all ages.
