Human beings are complex organisms that require nutrients to support the body’s health and functioning and the food is the most essential condition for human survival because it is a substance that is eaten or drunk d ’source of food for the body or for pleasure. Nutrients such as carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins and minerals found in foods that come from other living organisms like plants and animals or products, power generation to replace old cells and stimulate homeostatic growth and sustain life.

To better understand what you should know the difference between macronutrients and micronutrients and macronutrients are nutrients that are consumed by humans in large quantities and divided into small substances through digestion and provide energy and bulk made up of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

Carbohydrates – are made of sugar units and are the main source of energy to build power for the human body.  Fats – are generally triesters of glycerol and fats that store energy, insulation in the body and help transmit nerve impulses.
Proteins – are chains of amino acids that form the building material for growth and tissue repair and also act as a catalyst enzyme. Amino acids are classified into two groups: essential and nonessential amino acids. Essential amino acids – we make our diet because our bodies can not produce.
